Samhain Pocket Altar Kit

Goodmorning to you! I have just finished creating an altar kit dedicated to Samhain.
In this post I will show its content in detail.

The fields are bare, the leaves have fallen from the trees, and the skies are going gray and cold. It is the time of year when the earth has died and gone dormant. Every year on October 31 (or May 1, if you're in the Southern Hemisphere) the Sabbat we call Samhain presents us with the opportunity to once more celebrate the cycle of death and rebirth. For many Pagan traditions, Samhain is a time to reconnect with our ancestors, and honor those who have died. This is the time when the veil between our world and the spirit realm is thin, so it's the perfect time of year to make contact with the dead. (source)
Samhain is really an important day for all the witches, because it is just like the New Year's day, it is an opportunity to take stock of the situation, to reflect on life, and to accept what we cannot change. One of my favourite topics is THE DEATH, not because I love the macabre or horror things, but because I LOVE LIFE and I believe that the day of your death will be the best day of your life
I do not want to offend anyone with this thought, thinking of violent deaths or terrible illnesses, for example. I refer to death by old age, that kind of death that nature has given us, in which everything is transformed.
But this is a long and complicated topic, which maybe those interested can do with me in private (I would be very happy!).

Better not to ramble and go back to the altar!
This is the link for buying it: https://etsy.me/2KgOBLR

So, I am really proud of this creation.  I made this box in June, so those who want it can have it in time for October 31st.

initially I had colored the cat with the gray felt-tip pen, but I didn't like the wood effect

this is my aide Oliver, the one who gave the name to Paper Cat Lab.

Then I tried with Uni-POSCA markers, and I liked their covering effect. (Don't be afraid to make mistakes while you create, you must experiment!)

Its content:

Includes:
+ a wooden box painted with acrylic colors
+ a divination spell jar
+ a tiny bottle full of quartz and amethyst
+ 2 candles (1 black, 1 orange)
+ 1 handmade witch broom with a bell
+ a scrying mirror charm
+ a skull with red strass
+ a black cat totem animal familiar
+ an orange felt pad with pentacle symbol
+ an ouija enamel pin

The first item I created is this Divination Spell Jar (if you want know more about spell jars, check this post: How to Cast a Spell Jar

At Samhain the veil between this world and the afterlife is at its thinnest point of the whole year, and it easier to communicate with those who have left this world. So divination is a perfect activity.
I used violet salt for protection, and violet is the color of spirituality and divinations. Than I added Chamomille for a better meditation, dried mint for mental clarity, cinnamon stick for wisdom, lavender for clairvoiance and bay leaf for divination.
I sealed with the black candle and embellished with a super cool eye charm!

In an altar kit can't be miss candles and a broom. The broom is totally handmade, composed of sorghum and birch wood, I added a purple bell for better cleaning of the sacred space.

The black kitten represents the totem animal of witches par excellence. It reminds me of Matisse, my first black cat that I loved so much!!!
The skull is a symbol of this celebration, you can use it as an offer.

(It is a very fancy skull!!!)

This tiny bottle is full of clear quartz and amethyst. Clear quartz has the property of recharging and cleaning all other minerals, so your amethyst will be always ready to magick works! Amethyst protects your energy and clears away bad vibes, but it also allows the higher mind to communicate with guides so that you have the opportunity to tap into your inner self.
(ok I know, my manicure is off topic ahah!)

I wanted at all costs to add something for divination, but I didn't want to put another pendulum in it. So I magically found this pendant, perfect for a portable scrying mirror.

Last but not least, this super cute Ouija Planchette Enamel Pin!

Well, I hope you like it and  I also hope it is an inspiration for those who want to create one on their own.

I also make custom altars, take a look at the altar kit section on etsy and feel free to contact me for anything!!!
